Perdue kicks off his ‘Stop Stacey’ campaign with a promise of an ‘’election fraud’ police force
Today kicks off the shortest month of the year, Chinese New Year, and Black History Month, so what better day for a racist Republican Southerner such as Georgia gubernatorial candidate David Perdue to kick off his campaign tour, titled “Stop Stacey,” aimed at preventing Stacey Abrams from being elected the state’s first-ever Black woman governor.
Perdue’s also running with a proposed “election law enforcement division inside the Georgia Bureau of Investigation,” complete with an outside “auditing process” to ensure “voting integrity in the state.” Whew. That’s a lot to unpack. The only integrity issues that I see are those involving Republicans such as Perdue who support voter suppression as it relates to Black and brown communities being able to vote. As for voter election fraud and the Big Lie, Georgia recertified its presidential election results three times finding Biden the winner all three times.
In the meantime, Purdue also spent $150,000 on a series of ads starring Donald Trump, in which he eviscerates Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp for not interceding in his demands to overturn President Joe Biden’s win in the state. Trump infamously told Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger to “find” enough votes to overturn the state’s election.
The new 30-second ads start with “a message from President Trump,” which sounds as if it’s read by Don Pardo. Trump enters the frame, flanked by a couple of flags, and lets loose. He calls Perdue “outstanding,” “tough” and (coming from this guy?), “smart.”
“The Democrats walked all over Brian Kemp,” Trump yells, adding, “He was afraid of Stacey ‘The Hoax’ Abrams. Brian Kemp let us down. We can’t let it happen again.”
Perdue is hoping to beat Kemp in the GOP primaries and is obviously betting on Trump to take help him take home the win. In January, Perdue, a former U.S. senator, was soundly trounced in a runoff against Democrat Jon Ossoff.
Should Perdue beat Kemp, he will face the Democratic candidate Stacey Abrams, who Trump calls The Hoax, presumably because he can’t believe a Black woman can be so badass and real at the same time. (Spoiler: She is, and he’s SAD.)

Abrams can take the heat, though.
If you’re not familiar with her, she’s a voting rights activist, a New York Times bestselling author, a lawyer, and has served in the Georgia statehouse for 11 years.
After her bitter and contested run in 2018, the top-ranking Georgia Democrat famously turned her focus to voting rights to ensure all Americans were able to cast a ballot, via programs such as Fair Fight 2020, where she raised millions for then-Senate candidates Ossoff and Raphael Warnock and registered a staggering 800,000 voters. She also funded and trained voter protection teams in 20 battleground states.
